Please find below answers to frequently asked TCP Gateway questions:

• What is the TCP Gateway?

  The TCP Gateway is the BCCSA's Traffic Control Program (TCP) management system that provides tools and information to assist with program administration. The gateway is used by students, instructors, support staff, and admin.

  Students use the gateway to:

  • Find and register for TCP courses.
  • Access digital copies of their TCP Records of Completion.
  • Receive TCP news and support.
  • View their student records and update their contact information.
  • Provide course and program feedback.
  • Request replacment of lost physical TCP cards.

• Who can access the TCP Gateway?

  The following people can access the gateway:

  • Current and returning students
  • Current instructors
  • Current support staff and admin

  If you are a current or returning student, you were assigned a student number. This student number is necessary to create your gateway account. It will resemble "SN#######".

  If you are a new student and do not have a student number, you will be assigned a student number during account creation. You can also create an account when registering for a course. Find your TCP course in our Course Catalogue.

  If you are eligible for gateway access but are unable to login, first carefully try your username and password again. Next, try resetting your password. If you still are unable to login, please contact support.

• It says to sign in with my BCCSA account. What's this?

  A BCCSA account is an account you use to access many BCCSA programs and services, such as this TCP Program Gateway, the CCPO course portal, and the SiteReadyBC course portal.

  If you already use an e-mail address and password to sign in to BCCSA programs and services like the ones mentioned above, then you already have a BCCSA account. One of the benefits of having a BCCSA account is having a single username and password to sign into all your BCCSA services.

  Current & returning students: If you do not already have a BCCSA account, please Create an Account. You will need to enter your student number (SN#) during the account creation process.

  New students: Your BCCSA Account will be created during account creation. you can also create your account when you register for your course. Find your TCP course in our Course Catalogue.

  Instructors: You should have been provided your account information. If you have not received this, please contact TCP Support.

• How do I register for a course?

  To register for a course:

  1. Find your course in the course catalogue.
  2. When you find a course of interest, click on the course to access the course details page.
  3. To register for this course, follow the instructions under "Register now for this course":
     • If you don't have a BCCSA account, click the "Create Account" button.
     • If you do have a BCCSA account, enter your username & password, and click the "Sign In" button.
  4. Once logged in, you will be provided the course registration form. Complete this online form and click the "Submit Registration Form" button.
  5. Your form is sent to the course's instructor who reviews your form and contacts you to arrange payment.

• Can I submit a course registration form on someone else's behalf?

  Yes, you can submit a course registration on someone else's behalf. To do so, use the same steps as outlined in the question, "How do I register for a course?"

  Please Note: While you may submit course registrations on another's behalf, the students themselves must verify their own accounts. To do this, ensure that you register students using each students' e-mail address. Students are required to click a verification link provided in a verification e-mail in order to login to the TCP Gateway. Without clicking on this e-mail link, the student will not be able to access the gateway. If a student does not have an e-mail address, please contact TCP support.

• Can I pay online during the registration process?

  Payments are arranged and made directly to the course's instructor. Different instructors have different methods and arrangements for payment. Your course's instructor may or may not have an online system in place to accept online payments. After you submit your registration form, your form is sent to the instructor who reviews your form and contacts you to arrange payment.
