Course Details

This two-day TCP Course meets all the training standards required by the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA). After successfully completing this course, you will become a qualified TCP and receive a TCP Record of Completion Card. To successfully complete this course you must pass both a knowledge exam and an onsite practical test.

Brittni Bowles
Brittni Bowles is a highly experienced Health & Safety and Traffic Management professional with over 14 years of experience in the traffic control industry. Recognized for her expertise in traffic management planning, regulatory compliance, and adult education, Brittni is passionate about improving safety standards and developing confident, knowledgeable traffic control professionals. As a BCCSA-certified Traffic Control Program Instructor, Brittni delivers engaging, hands-on training that combines industry best practices with real-world experience. Her practical teaching style helps students build the confidence and skills needed to work safely and effectively in the field. In addition to instructing, Brittni specializes in the design of comprehensive Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), Traffic Control Plans (TCPs), Pedestrian Management Plans (PMPs), Risk Assessments, and Category Assessments for projects across British Columbia. Throughout her career, Brittni has held a variety of leadership and technical roles within the traffic management industry. She served as a Traffic Inspector on the Trans Mountain Expansion Project, one of Canada's largest infrastructure projects, where she was responsible for monitoring compliance, ensuring public and worker safety, investigating incidents, and providing guidance on complex traffic management operations. She has also held supervisory positions with Michels Canada and Jacob Bros Construction, leading traffic control operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. Earlier in her career, Brittni worked with The Universal Group, where she gained extensive experience as an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist, Training Coordinator, and Field Supervisor. These roles provided her with a strong foundation in traffic operations, workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and workforce development. Brittni is also the owner of BPB Traffic Solutions Inc., where she provides professional traffic management consulting and design services to contractors, municipalities, and engineering firms throughout British Columbia. Her extensive field experience, combined with her technical planning expertise, allows her to develop practical, compliant, and effective traffic management solutions for projects of all sizes. Holding several industry certifications, including Construction Safety Officer (CSO) training and Occupational First Aid Basic, Brittni is known for her professionalism, leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. She remains dedicated to raising industry standards through education, mentorship, and the development of safe, practical traffic management solutions.

This course requires a good command of spoken and written English.

Students are required to bring government issued photo ID and must have steel-toed safety boots for day 2. (Students without government issued ID or steel-toed boots will be marked incomplete and will not receive a TCP Record of Completion).

Classroom expectations:
Learner participation is a part of this course. Students are expected to be considerate and encouraging of other learners, using appropriate language and behaviour. It is your job to help others learn, just as it is theirs to help you.

Practical Evaluation expectations:
In addition to the classroom expectations shown above, students are expected to follow road safety protocols. Students are advised to bring: (1) Weather Appropriate Clothing; (2) Work Gloves; (3) Bag Lunch; and (4) must have Steel-Toe Safety Footwear with Ankle Protection.
