Course Details

This two-day TCP Course meets all the training standards required by the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA). After successfully completing this course, you will become a qualified TCP and receive a TCP Record of Completion Card. To successfully complete this course you must pass both a knowledge exam and an onsite practical test.

Brittni Bowles
Brittni Bowles is a dynamic and dedicated professional with over 13 years of experience in Health & Safety and Traffic Control. Known for her expertise in designing comprehensive Traffic Management & Control Plans and delivering high-quality training programs, Brittni brings a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and field logistics to every role she undertakes. Currently, Brittni serves as a full-time BCCSA-certified Traffic Control Program Instructor, where she leverages her extensive field experience to educate the next generation of traffic control professionals. In addition to instructing, she designs detailed Traffic Management and Control Plans tailored to diverse project needs. Her training sessions are praised for being engaging, practical, and rooted in real-world scenarios, helping students connect classroom learning to on-site realities. Brittni’s career includes her role as a Traffic Inspector on the TransMountain Expansion Project—one of Canada’s most complex infrastructure undertakings—where she was responsible for overseeing traffic safety, enforcing compliance, and providing critical guidance during incidents. She has held supervisory roles with Michels Canada and Jacob Bros Construction, where she led crews, implemented traffic plans, and upheld strict safety standards. Her early career at Universal Group included roles such as OHS Specialist, Training Coordinator, and Field Supervisor, giving her a solid foundation in traffic operations and workplace safety. Brittni holds several industry certifications, including Construction Safety Officer training and OFA Level 1. Known for her attention to detail, organization, and leadership, she remains committed to advancing safety and excellence through both planning and education.

This course requires a good command of spoken and written English.

Students are required to bring government issued photo ID and must have steel-toed safety boots for day 2. (Students without government issued ID or steel-toed boots will be marked incomplete and will not receive a TCP Record of Completion).

Classroom expectations:
Learner participation is a part of this course. Students are expected to be considerate and encouraging of other learners, using appropriate language and behaviour. It is your job to help others learn, just as it is theirs to help you.

Practical Evaluation expectations:
In addition to the classroom expectations shown above, students are expected to follow road safety protocols. Students are advised to bring: (1) Weather Appropriate Clothing; (2) Work Gloves; (3) Bag Lunch; and (4) must have Steel-Toe Safety Footwear with Ankle Protection.
