Rick Cox
I have been involved in traffic control and instructing since 1972. I assisted with the creation of the first traffic control person training course developed by the Ministry of Advanced education. I was also on the committee that developed the new/current TCP Program that came into effect in 2003.
I served 35 years with the Ministry of Transportation and Highways in places such as Williams lake, 100 Mile House, Nanaimo, and Burnaby. I was the Safety Manager for the building of the New Island Hwy, the HOV Lanes in Vancouver, the Hwy 99 Interchange, and the 5th Lane of the Old Port Mann Bridge.
I enjoy doing traffic control training as it allows to meet people from all walks of life, and allows me the opportunity to teach them the right way and safe way to ensure they can go home after every shift.
