Course Details

This two-day TCP Course meets all the training standards required by the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA). After successfully completing this course, you will become a qualified TCP and receive a TCP Record of Completion Card. To successfully complete this course you must pass both a written exam and an onsite practical test.

Class Specific Notes:

Required Clothing and Footwear
Please ensure you bring appropriate clothing for Day 2, which will be conducted outdoors. Dress for the weather, whether it’s rain or shine. It is mandatory to bring your own CSA-approved safety footwear with ankle protection.

Food and Lunch Arrangements
Please bring your own lunch. While there are nearby food vendors, time may be limited during breaks to go offsite.

Brittni Bowles
Brittni Bowles is a dynamic professional with over 13 years of expertise in Health & Safety and Traffic Control. She is recognized for her ability to design comprehensive Traffic Management Plans and her skill in developing and leading training programs. Currently, Brittni is a full-time Traffic Control Program instructor, sharing her deep industry knowledge with the next generation of safety professionals. Previously, Brittni served as a Traffic Inspector on the TransMountain Expansion Project, where she was responsible for overseeing traffic safety plans and providing critical guidance during incidents. Her leadership experience also includes roles as a Traffic Control Supervisor at Michels Canada and Jacob Bros Construction, where she expertly implemented traffic plans, supervised personnel, and maintained stringent on-site safety standards. Brittni’s early career at Universal Group saw her in multifaceted roles, including OHS Specialist, Training Coordinator, Field Supervisor, and Lane Closure Technician. It was here that she honed her expertise in traffic control and safety, gaining valuable experience across various aspects of the industry. Brittni holds numerous certifications, including Construction Safety Officer training and OFA Level 1. She is known for her organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership. Brittni remains committed to ensuring safety and efficiency in all her projects.

Classroom expectations:
Learner participation is a part of this course. Students are expected to be considerate and encouraging of other learners, using appropriate language and behaviour. It is your job to help others learn, just as it is theirs to help you.

Practical expectations:
Students are expected to follow road safety protocol. Students are advised to bring: (1) Weather Appropriate Clothing; (2) Bag Lunch; and (3) CSA-Approved Safety Footwear with Ankle Protection.
