Course Details

This two-day TCP Course meets all the training standards required by the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA). After successfully completing this course, you will become a qualified TCP and receive a TCP Record of Completion Card. To successfully complete this course you must pass both a written exam and an onsite practical test.

Class Specific Notes:

please be advised that all participants must wear full leg covering pants as well as steel toe footwear with ankle coverage of 6” or greater must be worn for day two on road practical portion of class, gloves are recommended as well as weather appropriate outerwear and no smoking during the on road portion of the class is permitted.

a bag lunch on both days is also highly recommended.

Jamie Hicks is a Traffic Control Instructor and Health & Safety Manager at Cold Country Traffic Control Ltd. with more than 11 years of experience working in the construction industry. Jamie specializes in traffic control planning and young/new worker development and is also responsible for worker education programs at Cold Country, including orientations, leadership development, and AFAD deployment programs. Jamie’s irresistible positivity, enthusiasm, and dedication to safety and education makes every course a delightful experience.

Learner participation is a part of this course. Students are expected to be considerate and encouraging of other learners, using appropriate language and behaviour. It is your job to help others learn, just as it is theirs to help you.

Practical expectations:
Students are expected to follow road safety protocol. Students are advised to bring: (1) Weather Appropriate Clothing; (2) Bag Lunch; and (3) CSA-Approved Safety Footwear with Ankle Protection.
